The Weeknd‘s second sold-out performance in Los Angeles did not go as planned. After the second song, the “Save Your Tears” vocalist abruptly terminated his performance.
Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, fled the stage while he was singing and “tried to decide what to do because she had lost her voice.” He yelled during the previous song, and it appears like it caused his vocal cords to be destroyed.
The Weeknd returned to the stage after the song continued as instrumental and said, “I can’t give you the show I want to give you. It’s killing me.” fighting back tears.
The Weeknd said following his departure from the venue, “I’m devastated because during the first song my voice gave out. My heart sank as I felt it depart. I swear I’ll find you a new date to make it up to you.”
This isn’t the tour’s first roadblock; the pandemic caused two previous postponements.
